Vorsprung Garage is mobile European auto repair, based in Lake Arrowhead, California. We come to your home or workplace across the San Bernardino Mountains and most of the Inland Empire with dealer-level diagnostics, for BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Volkswagen and Mini.
No drive down the mountain
We focus on BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Volkswagen and Mini, with the same diagnostic discipline on any make or model. Mobile service means the shop comes to your driveway: the nearest authorized European dealership is a 45-to-90-minute drive each way, plus the wait, and many owners would rather not drive a car with an active fault down a winding mountain road.
Mountain weather, mountain service
The San Bernardino Mountains routinely see cold mornings, snow, and altitudes above 5,000 feet. Vorsprung Garage is equipped and experienced with mountain-climate service, including cooling system pressure work, battery service in cold weather, and timing of work around storm windows. Severe weather may require rescheduling for safety.
What we do in your driveway
On-Site Diagnostics
Dealer-level scan platform (Icon T7, coverage equivalent to ISTA, ODIS and XENTRY) plus OBD-II equipment, paired with hands-on experience to pinpoint warning lights, drivability issues, electrical faults and intermittent symptoms, at your driveway. Every visit closes with a fully documented findings report.
Scheduled Maintenance
Factory-interval service. Oil and filter, brake fluid flush, coolant service, transmission fluid, spark plugs, cabin and engine filters, and a multi-point inspection. Service performed to the manufacturer's published schedule.
Brake Service
Pad and rotor replacement, brake-fluid flush, electronic parking-brake service, and sensor replacement. OEM, OE-quality, or performance pads available depending on application.
Cooling System
Water pump, thermostat, expansion tank, hose, and radiator service. Pressure testing and proper bleeding for European cooling systems, including BMW's notoriously specific bleed procedures.
Pre-Purchase Inspection
Comprehensive evaluation before you buy a used European vehicle: scan-tool fault history, fluid condition, brakes, suspension, undercarriage, body condition, and a written summary. Performed at the seller's location within service area.
Engine & Electrical
From sensor replacement and timing service to complex driveability and electrical diagnosis. Heavy-duty work (transmission, engine, or front-end removal) can be scheduled when the customer can provide adequate workspace. Module coding is not offered; coding work is referred to a dealership.
How a visit works
We come to you
After an initial phone or text consultation, a service window is scheduled and a technician travels to the customer's home or workplace with diagnostic equipment, tools, and most common parts. Diagnostic work, scheduled maintenance, brake service, fluid services, and many repairs can be completed on-site. Repairs requiring specialty equipment, a lift, or extensive disassembly are coordinated separately.
Before you call
Have the vehicle's year, make, model, and approximate mileage ready, plus a description of the symptom or service needed. If a warning light is on, the exact wording or icon helps. Your service location and any access constraints (gated community, narrow driveway) speed scheduling.
Warranty
Most work carries a 90-day / 5,000-mile workmanship warranty, documented in writing at the time of service. Parts warranties depend on the manufacturer. Please call for details specific to the work you need.
